Located in the old Bradford County Jail. Learn about the local cultural history, how the inmates lived, displays of Native Americans, early settlers, Revolutionary and Civil Wars.

2009 The Home Textile Tool Museum is
celebrating its 10 Anniversary this year with many new displays and extra
events. We are holding a Scout day May 23 and officially open May 30 with a
program that includes many artisans including music. Our displays not only
include the textile tools of spinning wheels, looms, yarn winders, large warping
mill, different fibers, a wide variety of hand and wood working tools, small
Blacksmith shop, Dyeing yarn over an open fire, our 1800's Federal House with
special textile displays, but Children's area for "hands on" and a Children's
garden. We also have many gardens that include dye plants and herbs, a Gift
corner supplied by donations to help support Home Textile Toll Museum.
Youth Day, which holds many special features for children with Horse shoeing,
Natural Dyeing, Drop Spindle spinning, Colonial Story Teller was changed to July
11 this year.
We also hold a variety of workshops for Natural Dyeing, Barn Frame Loom
restoration, Cheese making, Sewing - Quilt blocks, Housewife (a tied fabric roll
that held pins, needles, thread, etc.), or a Ladies Pocket of linen with crewel
embroidery. Bead weaving on a loom, Complexion Soap, Knitting, Felting a hat or
scarf and several different Baskets.
